Difference in prices for Mumbai & Delhi?

I just checked the tariff on the MTNL Mumbai & Delhi websites...In Mumbai, unlimited 256k plan is Rs2500.In Delhi its Rs799.Does anyone know why such a big difference in pricing? And if Mumbai prices are going to come down?

Mumbai unlimited plan is upto 2mbps downstream and 256k up line the downstream is more thats why its 2500 rs. whereas Delhi is upto 256k down and 256k up

Mumbai being financial capital MTNL babus wants cash in price due to poor competition in broadband market :wall:.Delhites have option of Airtel but here only few areas have airtel broadband access.

does not claim the the downstream is 2mbps.

If that is true - does anyone then know if Mumbai MTNL will come out with a plan equivalent to Delhi MTNL unlimited plan for Rs.799?

oops!! they changed it recently.. last i checked on 20 July it was "up to 2mb" written there
