Does anyone know the difference between BSNL FTTH and FTTH provided by BharatNet?

There is an agreement between BSNL and BharatNet, and BSNL can provide connection using BharatNet's infra (OLT) to the customers. Since BharatNet has covered almost each and every village (gram panchayat) so it will be easy for BSNL to give connection in villages.

As per BharatNet utilization models, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Govt. of India ,

Utilization: Any service provider/ government agency who intends to provide its services at Gram Panchayat level may connect to BharatNet at block OLT location from where its traffic is carried to Gram Panchayat (GP) level on BharatNet. At the GP, service provider has to extend its services to the end-customers using its own last mile. To trigger the ecosystem and promote BharatNet utilization, this bandwidth is being offered at highly attractive and affordable price.
Any service provider (aka ISP), can lease the bandwidth as mentioned at BHARATNET TARIFF, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Govt. of India and distribute it to others. I am unsure if LCOs qualify as "service provider".

No. Out of 12524 GPs in the state (TN), zero, yes zero GPs have got BharatNet. This is partially due to the demise of previous CM and high level of corruption with the current CM. Since, it is not possible to make money out of implementing BharatNet and the connectivity is done in collaboration with the state, there is zero progress so far. Tamilnadu is one of the few states where the implementation is done in collaboration with the state.

Block level fiber already exists throughout the state. However, it is with BSNL that hasn't floated tender for FTTH in my district, yet.

@pothi I Don't have high hopes on BSNL FTTH. In a Tier-1 City like Chennai, they don't have proper coverage. At least we have some private players to save the day here. But in smaller towns and cities jio is the only hope. That too might take a few years.
