Hi, Just wanted to ask if anyone knows whether carrying all the DD channels is compulsory for the DTH providers. I want to know if Tata Sky needs to carry channels like Gyandarshan and DD Bharathi by law.Thanks,Ananth
The amendments to the Cable TV Networks Regulation Act, 1995 has made it compulsory for all cable operators (including DTH) to carry two state-owned (Doordarshan I and II) channels through satellite link on prime band. However, all the DD channels are not compulsory.
