I have been a User of DataOne for the last 4 to 5 years and have always configured my
SMTP Server as wmma.dataone.in and
POP3 server as wmra.dataone.in

And I have been receiving and sending mail without any problem. But in the last few weeks, in Pune, I often get error messages saying either or both the SMTP and/or POP3 Server could not be contacted. Is this because of any overload or maintenance problems at DataOne for the incoming and outgoing mail Servers or have the Servers assigned to me been changed to smma and smra or nmma and nmra mentioned in the list placed on the web-site of DataOne? How does one check this and find out the correct server assigned to a User?

Dataone does not provide any helpdesk e-mail address for filing any complaint; so I am posting the complaint here, hoping that someone from Dataone will notice it and wake up the Pune service staff. When the mail servers do not work, Users panic and are tempted to change server names or passwords to see if it will work. Unfortunately, that makes things even worse.

If wmma does not work change to smma or nmma
one of them will work. same applies for sending email also.
Enter all three in your email Outlook/OutlookExpress program.
name them BSNL1 BSNL2 and BSNL3

2. Try this program:
ePrompter Free eMail Notification Software .
