Dataone Refuses To Connect Using Router

Hi folks.. plz help me on this.. I use Huawei MT880 and D-Link DI 524 wireless router in my home network. I used to configure the wireless router to dial the PPPoE connection. Everything was working fine till yesterday. Now I am able to connect to the internet only if I connect the modem directly to my computer and dial PPPoE from the computer. Even the PPPoE dialer within the MT880 is not working... What could be the problem.. And what is the difference b/w a router dialing the PPPoE and a computer dialing the same ??? :unsure:

^ for a general broadband user , modem dialing and computer dialing work in the same way . if dialer in the modem is not working then it could be a technical problem within modem . if the faulty modem is on rent basis from BSNL then it can be replaced by BSNL .

but i am unable to dial even using the dialer in the wireless router .. And the modem is working perfect except for this !!

Try resettin ur wireless router usin da RESET button found at da back of ur router usually located near da RJ45 jack which is da LAN jack port. Configure ur router a-fresh frm da start. n if neccesary rest ur modem also aft noting down each n every setup configuration as done by da BSNL technican..... this can b done by entering ur modem gateway configuration in ur address bar which is usually an IP address.

192.168.1.1 sud work for most adsl modems or 192.168.1.0 ..... dunno which wil work in ur case.

Try.... ahead... if not den i wil provide u more help frm oder ext. sources which cud help u solve it widout much frustrations.
