Dataone Installation Help For Linux N Mac Users, Also All Modem Types (brands) Help

Well, the good thing in this is that BSNL is providing at least some kind of support for Linux. I don't think I have heard of any other ISP providing such support to its common consumers.I wonder what is BSNL's policy if they have to go install a new connection to somebody's place who has only Linux running on the computer.

Generally BSNL people are reluctant to install Dataone modems
on Linux platforms . But I was told that at some exchanges BSNL
has Linux experts to deal with it . [ My telephone exchange has
got a Linux expert helping Broadband customers ]

i am not sure u even have to worry about installation on linux with routers. u configure them through a web browser. you just need to know where to put in network settings. and if you are using linux... u should know that...for usb modems? umm no idea.
