D-Link DSL-502T Router Vs DataOne

I am unable to configure the router for the DataOne as certain values like PVC/VCI/VPI are not provided by BSNL. Has any body configured the router? 😛

That is generalisation. I hope to come back in a day or two as I have heard that BSNL is using private firms in South Kolkata to setup these modems. I am trying to linkup with them. Will give the results here

Am extremely sorry! Will tryout these suggestions today. Will be back with results by evening, I hope. Saturday was a day of power failures in North Kolkata. 73s de DXER🙁

i also have dsl502 adsl router n i m using dataone successfully .
its so simple to configure it :
step 1 open ur browser an give an ip add in add bar 192.168.1.1
give uid n pwd "admin "
step 2 go to run wizard at the bottom of the page
then click next
a window appears asking f pas. give" admin " in both field .
step3:
set the time as u r local settings then next
step 4
select pppoe/pppoa then next
then give uid n pwd provided by bsnl
put zero 0 in VPI field n 35 in VCI field
n connection type PPPoELLC
then click next n click restart to save settings .it will take about 1-2 mins t reboot
now u r ready to play in the world of INTErnet. if u stll have some probs u can mail me at amulya01@gmail.com i will be there f u
