I have 2 hard disks. Samsung SV4012H is quite old (5 years old).it has 3 partitions c,d and e. c and d working fine. but the e partition is giving problems in data reading/writing etc. chkdsk takes hell of a time. partition magic shows crc error after sometime. formatted this partition 5-6 times now with no luck. earlier d and e were giving problems but after formatting d, itz workin like charm.using hdtune to check disk for errors not working as speeds of only 0.6-1.1 MB/sec!🙁Please help!

CRC error.. Do all software tuning later.. First back up your data ! After copying, make the hard disk empty and delete all partitions.. and run the tool !Be fast ! I hate CRC error.. Initially i used to get those in my Cobol files in Floppies (years back) ! Later it came on hard disk when we had harddisk in PC's (worked without hdd intially) !
which tool should i run?
C has all my boot record or whatever it is and i cannot boot the OS in the second newer HD as it shows invalid partition table.
DAta has been backup already!
