India signed its first order for an unapproved COVID-19 vaccine on Thursday, a day after criticism from the Supreme Court over its bungled vaccine rollout that has left millions of people vulnerable after almost 338,000 deaths.

Didn't we hear some company saying Vaccine would be cheaper than water bottle.

I guess this 250/dose could be for government and 1000+ for private hospitals.
 
that was bharat biotech. which is selling its vaccine for higher price than covishield. make in india sounds great but is expensive. you end up paying more money for an inferior product.
 

Everyone says their vaccine is THE BEST. Bharat Biotech said the same. Pfizer CEO wants everyone to take one billion booster shots each to help him become richest man. Adar Poonawala’s dad says the same. In short, I trust no one as everyone is in for money. Better take revised vaccine effective on Delta/Omicron/Demicron instead of taking useless boosters which are proven to be non effective on existing dominant variants.
 
At least cost wise, they did stay in their lane unlike Covishield and Covaxin. They said under ₹250 and giving it finally at a price of ₹145 is a commendable achievement. At least colleges and universities should organise drives now to get as many students vaccinated and in-person classes started.
