Connecting Dlink2750U to MTNL FTTH

I moved from MTNL ADSL connection to FTTH connection recently and to my horror realized that there was no wifi with the ONT modem supplied.

I am not trying to use the D-Link 2750U model with FTTH. ( Followed Manoj's advice from this post Using the Dlink 2750u as a true Ethernet WAN router) . I was able to flash model to ME Latest, add the ethernet port. The Globe icon is showing up in the DSL modem, but there is not internet even via wireline or wireless connection.

a) Should I disable DHCP?
b) My DHCP has been restricted to 192.168.1.64
c) ONT has 192.168.1.251.

Am I missing any settings?

Yes, I had seen this and made the changes but still it was not working.

To get it working, I did the following - Factory reset by ADSL Dlink2750u model
Changed the starting IP to 192.168.1.1 in the ONT Modem.

Presto!!! it started working and now I have the ADSL modem working as a router too...
