confused, Need help !

Guys, i'm going for this TATA indicom BB services. 256kpbs/unlimited/Rs.1600/-I have got few questions:-1.) I would like to know whether anyone else is also using this connection?2.) How's the services/customer care like?3.) Is the connection stable, or is down most of the time?3.) Can i use P2P softwares freely,or they block those ports?4.) What's the download rate, i was told its 32kbps.... is it stable?5.) Any drawback in the scheme i chose, i.e. 256kbps / unlimited / Rs. 1600/- ??Thanks in advance....

If u have searched through the forum then u must have got answers to all ur queries. Anyways here is my feedback:1. I am using tataBB postpaid connection for past 8 months now and this 256 unlimited pack for past 3 months .2. They have good CC . Only prob u will get is when u want a new connection. They will tell u 10 days but can take 30 days ( atleast in my case it was so)3. The connection is very very stable. In last 8 months I just had 3 days of downtime. Considering the indian broadband market it would say its very nice in terms of uptime.4. No ports r blocked. I am using IRC, emule, limewire, shareazaa, bitcomet etc . All work perfect.5. On my 256 unlimited i get in between 248-256 (31-32). Speed remains very stable, no fluctuation in speed for me in last 8 months. It remain constant6. Only drawback is tht its expensive. Airtel provide same in 1000 rs . Until and unless u r earning or born with a silver spoon one may not go for this. But then I don't think apart from airtel any other ISP can provide u such a stable connection. Also they will provide u a fixed IP 😉 free with this connection . Can be useful in sharing things and hosting some of ur stuff. No other ISP including airtel is providing this. Plus there content site have got quite a few interesting stuff to download.

hitman, thanx for the reply. But, bad luck...i just got a call from them & they told me its still not available in my area i.e. Mumbai Andheri(west).I did more research on it and found out that Airtel broadband,Reliance BroadNet,Hathway,TATA Indicom,Iqara internet.....none of them r available in my area.If u know about any other Broadband services then do reply...

If Airtel comes to your area before you take TATA's broadband, drop the idea and go for Airtel.
