Configure DLINK - DSL 2750U for tata indicom

Had ZyXEL p-600 earlier which is dying due to it's old age.
Trying to setup new DSL 2750U D-Link ADSL2 modem+router.
The installation CD is useless.
I connected cable from Zyxel to DLINK and DLINK to laptop.
Was able to connect to internet.
However when I remove the cable, the connection fails.
Tried connecting through WIFI access point but cannot connect.
Please help in configuring the router.

I am trying to configure my Tata Indicom DSL connection on a D-Link 2570U wireless router and each time the internet LED is "red".
I have followed all the instructions from the Internet setup wizard, I have reset the Tata indicom DSL password and it works just fine with the modem(ZyXEL P-660R-T1) given by Tata but does not work with D-Link.
I have done the factory reset a few times on the D-Link router and tried to configure the internet again and the LED is still red.
As per the D-Link manual and Technical support when the internet LED is red it means it is not able to authenticate the user name and password.
Please help!

sandeep, can u please check whether there is DHCP server in your router? if u find it, tell me the range.

please check whether you have DCHP server or not in the modems, if its enabled, tell me the range
