Hi Anant Please help me too I have a gizmo5 account which website did u take help with?

Is gizmo5 still active ??? Are you able to make calls from that account ???
In any case, you may try to config your modem as follows:

You must be in "PPPoE" mode, first config that....

1. Open modem and click on Configuration ----> Voice configuration
in the window that opens;
select VoIP functionality ----> enable
Interface name -------> pppoe_0_35
Region ----> India
CID type ---> FSK
DTMF mode ---> Inband
Click "Apply" but do not reboot

2. Go to SIP page
Enter "gizmo5.com" (without quotes) in proxy, Registrar, Outbound server and User domain fields
Leave all other fields as they are (i.e., default)
Click "Apply" but do not reboot

If you are using SPOKN, enter spokn.com in the above fields...

3. Go to End Points page
Click on the pencil mark to Edit
In the End Point name ----> enter your gizmo5 telephone number
Login name ----> enter your gizmo5 login id
Password ----> enter your gizmo5 password
Display name ---> your gizmo5 display name
Admin state ---> Inservice

Have you by any chance removed the "Digit map" in the "Dialling Plan" page ?

Just copy and paste this in the Digit map including the parenthesis : (x.T|##S|*[268]xS|*74x.#S|x#S|xx#S|*[93]0x.#S)

Click "Apply"and "reboot from last"

close your browser, wait for the modem to reboot.

Connect a normal phone to the FXS port (just by the side of the DSL port behind the modem)
If everything you entered is right, you must get a dial-tone and also the VoIP lamp on the modem must glow...

Start making your calls...

Feedback will be highly appreciated....

Hello friends

I did the same configuration and my router voip light is green ad glowing. Still,
when I connect my BSNL provided pstn fone, no dial tone.
I tried spokn and actionvoip as my voip account.

I am using DHCP for ip address. Please tell me what I might be missing.

Are you connected in PPPoE ( "always On") mode.
Your userid/pw entered/stored in wan page of modem.
In Lan page enable DHCP. give a range say 192.168.1.2 to 192.168.1.6

What is the additional router you use after AN1020-21.? model/number ?
Any lan port to connect to desktop and Internet working Ok ?
This ensures your connection for VOIP service is OK.

I am using Vonge/OOMA and no problems. ( both Using U.S. numbers )
Not familiar with Spokn & actionvoip.
Getting more details. Seems you have to use ID/PW and dial from computer.
using the software provided.

Kindly verify if you are in "Bridged" mode or "PPPoE" mode....In "Bridged" you use a dialler to connect to the net and in "PPPoE" you just switch on your modem and start surfing....

Can it be possible that there is a fault in FXS port? I do not think BSNL has blocked access to SPOKN. Have you tried using their SIP client on the desktop ?

You must be missing something in the configuration. Just go through the guide and cross check once again. Your phone and ports must be okay....

Why are you using a switch after the router? It already has 4 ports.

Can you try checking with another phone ???

There is confusion here. If you are in default condition ,
You are likely to be in "BRIDGED" mode Check box in WAN page..
PPPoE DIALER INSTALLATION
Say
(a)PPPoE (Dailer"Bridged") mode :
"bridged" box usually the default selection.
you enter userID/pw in a system window and log in.
Using PPPoE Client software
(b)
PPPoE ( "Always On")
PPPoE box selected un checking "bridged " above.
Next page /next
enter your USERID/PW in the wan settings page.
