COAI moves TDSAT against new telecom policy

NEW DELHI: Cellular Operators Association of India, a lobby group of GSM players, on Tuesday moved telecom tribunal TDSAT challenging the government's new telecom policy that allows CDMA service providers entry into GSM segment.

Will the GSM guys get access to CDMA markets too?
I doubt any GSM operator will wanna go CDMA coz the change over is only profitable for the CDMA to GSM guys

Only sad thing for us GSM guys is that no more spectrum will be allocated ,so we can expect more of

One word - auction. Why should spectrum be allocated on the basis of subscribers? Let the highest bidder win (or bankrupt himself). Don't mess around with this issue. Seems DOT is unaware of developments in the west as regards this issue - or is it choosing to ignore them?
