Check ADSL modem malfunctioning

is their any software or anything to Check ADSL modem (beetel 220 bx) malfunctioning??after frequent disconnection i switched it to USB mode from LAN.disconnection are reduced but still it disconnect sometimes. switching back to LAN= more disconnection.i want to know its BSNL problem or my modem .:confused:

Report your SNR and attn figures. only the first five columns . Rest I don't know !!!

SNR should be above 10 db and attenuation less than 20 to 30 db.
I presume you are familiar with all modem settings. Beetel220BX is a robust modem and working trouble free for past two to three years for me.
If you are interested go to Welcome to Beetel Modems and download the user manual etc.

You should recheck your line ( because of low snr and high attenuation values ) First Connect your modem to Network Interface Card and go to 192.168.1.1(modem's IP) and than click on wan and select ppoe fill your username password and deselect dial on demand.you may need to boot your modem atleast for 2 to three times ( I dont know why but it always worked for me ) but after that it will be stable.What is your firmware ?.. update it and follow the procedure after update too.
