Here is the updated list of Channels on the Airtel Digital

But the entire channel list shows only 257 channels, out of this 4 HD channels are showing as unsubscribed, so I have 253. What are the other 7 Channels that will bring the total to 260? I can read you the entire list of Channels serial number wise and you tell me which ones I am missing.Customer Exec said the system has not updated those 4 channels, that’s why not showing. When it updates they will start showing. If I want them now I will have to pay for them. I.e. I will have to pay for the same product twice because their system is slow or whatever. Even after addition of these 4 channels total will be 257. What about the other 3 channels? How can company say 260channels will be available when max channels showing in the list are 257 that too including iDarshan, GameZone, iGoodlife and 2 help channels. To this the sernior customer exec got into a tough spot and was unable to answer. So he had to make up an answer saying that the “widgets” that the Set Top Box offers are the 3 Channels, which is obviously not true. But then again it is not the customer exec’s fault. It is Airtel’s fault for not verifying exactly how many channels they are showing to customers before declaring to customers that the All Round Pack has 260 channels. So anyway these two (junior and senior) customer execs I spoke to were one of the rare courteous and intelligent customer execs of Airtel. Usually some idiot, sounding as if he or she is 10th fail and hailing from a village picks up the phone. Anyway I ended the conversation by asking the senior to give me an “interaction number” and to add the 4 HD channels missing as soon as they “update their system”. Also I asked them to ask their superiors to change their official figure of total channels in Airtel from 260 to 257. Check it yourself in your own Airtel HD Set Top Box. There are 51 separate screens of 5 listed channels each plus 2 channels in the 52nd screen. Thus 257 channels listed in “All Channels” in the channel guide – ToTaL.This pack is supposed to have 260 Channels and the Customer Service Executive assures customer that “All Channels” except Airtel Movies and Superhitz will be present. In addition on the internet forums it is mentioned that all newly added channels will be available.In the Menu 257 Channels Show Up (i.e. both subscribed as well as unsubscribed Total Channels).Out of these 5 Channels are non-channels, i.e. useless channels in the list of 257 that don’t count as channels)1) 100 What's on Airtel (EPG counting as 1 Non-Real Channel)2) 324 iGoodlife (unsubscribed, has total 4 Non-Real Channels, so 3 extra including the listed channel)3) 353 Gamezone (unsubscribed, counting as 1 Non-Real Channel only)4) 692 iDarshans (showing as subscribed, has total 4 Non-Real Channels, so 3 extra including the listed channel)5) 999 Help (counting as 1 Non-Real Channel)Apart from this iLearn and iAstro counting as 1 separate Non-Real Channel each are showing as subscribed. iFasal counting as 1 Non-Real Channel is showing as unsubscribed. iNews is not available so it does not even count as 1 Non-Real Channel.Hence only 252 Real-Content Channels.
