Comic legend Stan Lee will launch an original superhero for the Indian market with a team of Indian artists and writers working at Liquid Comics which has pacted with Lee's POW! Entertainment for the project.

Chakra - The Invincible will initially launch as a series of downloadable web and mobile comics distributed throughout India on Liquid’s recently announced Graphic India platform. Lee’s first digital comic book story on Chakra will be released for free in April 2012, exclusively on Graphic India - India's Premiere Webcomic and Pop-Culture Portal though a preview of concept art will be available later this week on the website.

heh. a character created by an individual who wanted to play a superhero on the small screen? superheros needs to have their own identities. identifying them with shah rukh khan or hrithik roshan or mukesh khanna is not the real thing. of course, we can consider characters like naagraj as a superhero. 🙂

Stan Lee is reportedly planning to make a Bollywood comic book movie on his Indian superhero character Chakra: The Invincible.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, the 91-year-old comic book writer is in talks with Graphic India boss Sharad Devarajan to adapt the story for a live action film. It is also reported that Lee is aiming to have the movie version in pre-production in 2015.
