TV, close to 8 lakh connections in Bangalore and around 2 lakh in Mysore will go blank.
Yogendra Pal, Technical Adviser to the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, clarified that the date will not be extended in any case and the analog connections will go offline after the March 31 deadline.
According to the data from the ministry, as on March 25, only 62 per cent of the total customer base (22.68 lakh connections) were covered under ditigisation in Bangalore and around 50 per cent of 2.19 lakh were yet to make the switch in Mysore.
