Carrier Aggregation on Airtel 4G LTE

Its been 3 months I have taken Airtel postpaid connection, but I never seen CA in Maharashtra Circle. So Airtel connection is always displayed as 4G, never 4G+.
Non-CA speed has touched 30 Mbps on few occasions, thats max speed I have seen on my Samsung S20+.

When I shift to Jio sim, it displays LTE+, means it has CA.

CA on band 1 also.

@ijsa does rx monitor show other bands of CA? I think it only shows one of the bands only.. please correct me if I'm wrong... I see only one band , ie band 1 written in your picture and 2ca.. so what is the other one?

after additional spectrum, i was getting good speeds of 70-80 mbps all day long. But now speeds have reduced to like 15-20 mbps.

why are VI customers moving to airtel ? Stop this plz. They are deteriorating the network now 😛

Airtel has only 40C in Maharashtra circle. It's single RAN network in Maharashtra circle. You won't get good speeds through CA. Band 40 deployment is hardware upgrade so not deployed on all sites. Same is with band 5. Not on all sites. Very few sites have covered with band 5 and extra band 40 carrier of 10Mhz. So you won't get throughout CA. In Mumbai circle, 3-40/40-40 works only on Airtel. But sometimes 3-40 does not work when it works on Jio on Mi11X(rooted and locked through network signal guru).

On Vi in Maharashtra circle in two major cities, Pune and Nagpur, 1-3/3-40/3-8/1-3-8/1-3-41/3-8-40/41-41/1-41/1-3-8-40, works. You can give it a try.

Best thing that happened to Vi after a lot customers left was, we got great 4G speeds even though we didn't had Carrier Aggregation that too even during peak times.

Airtel gives 75Mbps speeds on Poco M2 Pro just by locking band 3 and 20-40Mbps on band 1. Band 40 on 20Mhz gave 100Mbps plus speeds easily. There are hardly anyone using Airtel in Maharashtra circle. Hardly any load. Superfast it is. Same with Nagpur. Band 5 gives 10-15Mbps.

Which phone do you have that you didn't get CA on Vi? Very less phones support CA on Vi. All OnePlus phones, Realme Phones, Oppo Reno 6 5G and A52/A52s/S20 FE 5G support CA on Vi. Mi11X and Mi10i, IQOO7 legend support 3+41 combination which is Vi combination(speeds are excess of 100Mbps in Gujarat on this combination).
