He is like if everything is working fine , why would you update ?
If everything is working fine why would they make an update 🤷‍♂️.
He either don't want you breaking things or he couldn't be bothered. If it ain't broke don't fix it is kind of real.

Well rather than breaking things , they do not have a firmware update , thats why they are saying it . If the company bothered about the firmware , he would atleast care to ask what is the Firmware version

To be very precise , the QOS , IP bandwidth allocation doesnt work in my ONT
The Wifi starts throwing devices out if it gets to more than 6
The UpNp and port settings are a big mess

How do you expect everything to be working fine ?

open port checker
@db2611 to open a port only port forwarding in the router will not work. you need to have a server at our end with the respective port, which open port checker can ping and get the result.

for example if you want to open port 80 (default http port ) you need to run a http server with 80 port in our local machine and set the port forwarding rule in your router and firewall (if necessary ) . then only open port checker can listen your port.

as per my knowledge BSNL doesn't use CGNAT (at least in my location ) so port forward should work.
