hello everybody,

I can't access certain websites like (1) link-removed Lite › the BitTorrent & P2P search engine (2) www.revastudents.info.

I tried all the previous remedies suggested by the previous threads in this forum like:
(1) decreasing the MTU size to 1454.
(2) using openDNS
(3) tried tcp/ip optimizer. But it works only for winXP ( I have win7).
But nothing solved the problem. I still can't access those websites.

My OS is Windows7 Professional.
My router model is : Nokia Siemens Networks type-2(with 4 LANs and 1 WLAN).
My connection mode is: PPPoE

Here is my ipconfig /all details:

Kindly, I request the members of this forum to suggest me a solution.

1. Try Opera Turbo

2. Try a proxy

3. Clear browser cache and try.

4. Try another browser and check

5. Change DNS to Open DNS or Google DNS

I am already using Open DNS. Still, I can't access those websites.
I've tried those on 4 different browsers: Mozilla Firefox, Google Chrome, Opera , IE8. None of them would open those websites.
Even tried clearing browser cache and DNS cache, it didn't work.
I had already tried with a proxy before and yes, it does work with a proxy. But I wanted to know is there anyway I can access those websites without a proxy? Also, since I can access those websites using a proxy, Does that mean my ISP is blocking those websites?:frown::madness:

No, those sites are blocking BSNL IPs. Atleast link-removed is. Use Opera Turbo. It is as good as proxy.

why does link-removed is blocking BSNL IPs? Is it because they don't want Indian users to download torrents from them?

May be. Or may be we leach and do not upload.

link-removed blocked only by BSNL or by all other Indian ISPs?

with BSNL we face such problem some time and the same get resolved automatically so no particular clue where things went wrong ..

guys i too ned to access revastudents.info so if anyone know how to access it plz post here :huh:

Sometimes when BSNL is updating DNS, such thing can happen. If it happens regularly and you have tried all the technical stuff yourself, call up those 'babus' and ask them to look into the matter.
