can we move/copy recorded vids from Tata Sky hd ??
in anyway, legitimate or otherwise

also, why thr ethernet and USB points on it ?? can anyone tell me please ?

No. The video are recorded in format which in not readable by any other media players except STB.
 
The maximum that u can do is - connect the STB with the PC via TV Tuner & record whatever the TV Tuner plays. I failed miserably while trying to do that......but 1 factor was that my TV Tuner is very old.
