I'm trying to gather information about the encryption used by the Indian providers and CAMs that can be used. Can someone with any of these connections provide the information I'm missing and correct me if I got something wrong?

Code:
Provider Encryption CAMTata Sky [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VideoGuard]NDS/Videoguard[/url] None available officially but Wikipedia says it can be emulated with Dragon CAMAirtel Digital TV [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/VideoGuard]NDS/Videoguard[/url] Same as aboveDish TV ?? CAM available officially from the provider under the name DTH FreedomVideocon D2H [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irdeto]Irdeto[/url] Thirdparty CAM availableReliance Big TV [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mediaguard]Mediaguard[/url] Sun Direct [url=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irdeto]Irdeto[/url] Thirdparty CAM available

This post is for reference only and has nothing to do with video piracy. You will still need a valid subscription to view the channels. Some CAMs might not be able to update its encryption keys from thirdparty settop boxes or TV tuner cards. Also be warned that using third party CAMs may not be legal and the provider can block the subscription card if they find out.

Are you sure Big TV uses Mediaguard? On Wikipedia it says Nagravision. Or have they switched from Nagravision to Mediaguard at some point?

DIsh tv had conax in old recievers. The cam given by them for other stb is useless which gives FTA channels.Any one got idea if we can use any of the cards on our own receivers like Openbox or Dreambox?
