UL notwithstanding, it's a step backwards w.r.t. the pricing...Check out the CPE costs at the bottom :dance:Sushubh on his blog mentioned something about Indian resellers (was it DISH TV?) just wanting to make a buck selling the equipment at high prices and not caring about long term service at all...

"CPE" is customer premises equipment, or something like that.that means they are talking about a rs 10k wimax "modem" ! perhaps the antenna toowhat a shame

heh this is exactly what the ubnt guy was telling me. he gave an example. a product that they offer for 28 USD is sold by their non-indian clients for USD 30 to their customers.indian companies order few quantities to retail the same hardware for USD 100-150 😀

One good thing is the mention "The CPE will be provided directly to the customer by M/s SOMA" , so if this is some sort of standard WiMax hardware, like you have with ADSL2+ then people can get it cheaper from retail stores or abroad... not sure how the installation part will be handled though...

it also probably means that customers would get secong grade chinese crap which would probably die within a period of six months. 😀

Yes, looking forward to countless "BSNL WiMax sucks" posts from early adopter bakras 😀

that is to be expected from any new service that is launched in india. 😀

Unbelievable or Hilarious 😡, don't know what to say. Isn't this the same kind of service TATA & Reliance Wimax are already offering at no extra cost for H/W if you pay 3 months in advance & the monthly tariff is so much more reasonable.

thank you for your marketing spam info sales pitch 🙂
