I have Thunder 549 Plan Broadband and starting this Month June i am noticing that my Tax increased from usual Rs. 67 to Rs. 76.
Is it just me or did Tax increased for everyone? Done by Government or is it another scheme of Reliance to loot customers?

12.2% service tax was increased to 14% though it is applicable from June 1st so should not be charged for the month of May.

try to calculate if the increased service tax is for the may payment as well or not assuming your billing cycle include both the months.

Bill date is till 31st May, if that was directed to me.

bsnl is of course doing it completely wrong 😕 reliance billing is not 1st to 28/29/30/31 i believe 😛

Indeed. My reliance bill cycle is 27-26. Should be interesting when the bill arrives 😀

Add Vodafone to the list too.

Heh. Makes it seem as if you're on prepaid broadband or maybe rcom's way of justifying the 14%

it is for the month of may. 14% service tax was applicable only after june 1. which means that any billing before june 1 still comes under 12.x% service charge.
