BSNL Reduces Roaming Tarrif by up to 40 percent

Roaming tariff for incoming calls has been cut by 40 per cent, STD by 23 per cent and 20 per cent for local calls from May 1.

Local and national SMS tariff has been reduced by 75 per cent, the statement said.

This tariff reduction is across all operators, since TRAI has reduced the ceiling tariffs.

Title shud be bsnl and other pvt operators forced to reduce rates.
Thanks to trai roaming rates cheaper than home circle rates.
Home circle rates shud also be brought under regulation like it was few years back.

Stupid BSNL has increased the roaming STD charges to the ceiling rates, from 1.5p/sec to 1.9p/sec... Again STUPID BSNL charges Local / National SMS as Rs1.00 & Rs1.50, whereas in roaming its Rs0.25 & Rs0.38... I wonder what those useless, good for nothing, paid ridiculously for doing NOTHING, tariff makers of BSNL are smoking???

So its better to get BSNL SIM of other circle and use it, than getting the home circle SIM, imho...
