BSNL First Bill Explanation Needed

Here's my first bill

Details- Connection started 23rd jan 2013

Plan- ULD 2150 from 23-29jan 2013, ULD 850 from 29 Jan onwards

Modem was not taken from bsnl.

Amount paid at installation= Rs2150+Rs500=Rs2650

The thing I am wondering about is the Rs 2150 first month advance bill. As far as I understand rs 648(current charges) represents the usage charges for the time 23-31st jan. So why did they add 2150 again to it? If I choose to disconnect my bsnl connection tomorrow, will I get the first month advance bill back??

you will get them within 2-3 months or sometime much earlier if you disconnect

BSNL has refundable deposit concept if I know correctly... If you have switched to a lower plan, I think you can ask for excess deposit to be refunded.

same thing happened to me. they are keeping a month's rental as security deposit which is sort of refundable.

I think it is due to the advance one month rent.
