BSNL EVDO Broadband: Plz help me with port forwarding

I m using ZTE USB Modem 3197. It's downloading speed is nice (about 150 kbps) but when I play online games like Counter Strike (CS) it shows latency of 300 and above 😕 I used to play CS on 40-50 latency on Sify broadband connection which had download speed 30 kbps. So I m assuming the prob here is coz of blocked ports necessary for CS. If I m right can some1 plz tell me the procedure of port forwarding :huh: I m really desperate to do so coz gaming is the only reason I bought this connection.

speed has nothing to do with latency... it has been seen that most usb wirless broadband services gives high latency than others. more over the routing of each isp is diffrent .. for instane i used to get 50 ms with reliance in CS while i get 15ms with airtel... yes port blocking do effect but i dont think it should increase the ping...
