BSNL DSL DL SPEED

I am the aspirant of the #BSNL BB(DSL) , am using the plan #SUPER STAR 300 which having speed of 10 MBPS but when am dowload any file the speed does'nt exceed 1.5MBPS always...Where is the problem..? How to increase speed of Downloading..?

Downloading speed doesnt exceed 1.5MBPS what it means and where is the fault, how to increase..?

Please be clear with megabits and megabytes.

Are you on 10mbps plan and getting 1.5mbps? 1.5mbps is basically 0.19MBps.

Please run a speed test at Speedtest by Ookla - The Global Broadband Speed Test and at fast.com and post the results as screenshots here in order to understand your internet's actual download speed.

looks ok. bsnl tends to give the bare minimum which is 80% of advertised speeds.
