Bsnl dns problem/connection problem

During the past one week I have been experiencing a weird problem with Bsnl broadband. Let me first clarify that I use a Nokia Siemens 2110 modem and a D-Link 502t wireless router. Now the issue I'm facing is random dns failures. My Internet works for a while and then I get these dns lookup failures. I tried to solve the problem by changing the dns servers on my computer and on the Nokia Siemens router.. To no avail. I tried Google dns, open dns. Nothing works. I did when lodge a complaint with bsnl but they didn't give a propane response. They just said they'll look into it. Also none of the people in my building seen to be facing the same issue. When my internet works, it seems to work quite normally. any ideas as to what's wrong or how I can fix it? Thanks.
 
I think it is a connection issue.
