BSNL Broadband: Wifi with Type I Modem BSNL

HiI have a BSNL Type I modem which is connected to my Desktop at home. I require to connect another Desktop and Laptop to the same internet connection.Can anyone give me an idea of the pros and cons of a Wifi connection and the items I ll have to buy for it or else how I can connect the desktop and laptop to the same internet connection using wires. Please help.
 
i dont think u need a wireless router now. U just need a wireless access point which is much cheaper than a wireless router. if possible and you shud convert your modem to type 4 by writing a letter to BSNL. its even easier then.
 
yes you could get a wifi router from bsnl directly..you just need to get that modem and configure it to pppoe mode .. wifi connections are a bit slower compared to wired connections but if you are only planning on using it for internet connections then it wont matter
