BSNL broadband problem with dektop PC

Hello, I am using BSNL broadband at my home for the desktop PC. The modem is supplied by the BSNL. I am getting continous interruption while browsing. The indicator on the modem start blinking time and again. But when i tried to connect the LAN wire from the same modem to my laptop i am getting uninterrupted service. Can anybody tell what could be the problem with my desktop pc?
