Raceryan,
BSNL DataOne throughout the country is the same.
Till June 30th, their unlimited 256k plan is the best for those who signed up by mar 31.
(Edited later: Not anymore. With service available in some areas of Bangalore , Exatt.net is offering 256k data plans for less than BSNL. Plus Exatt service is unlimited with NO data transfer charges)
http://www.exatt.net/schemes.htm
It makes NO sense to take BSNL plans now. Rate per MB is just sheer nonsense.
ARE THERE ANY PROBLEMS WITH THE CONNECTIONS?
HOW IS THE COSTUMER SUPPPORT?HOWS THE SPEED ?[/b]
BSNL customer service is zero(barely tolerable). Uptime and data speed is pretty good. Downtime has been minimal so far.
HOWS THE MODEM WHICH THEY PROVIDE [/b]
Buy your own. You get the
D-Link DSL-502T modem-
router with ethernet and USB for max. Rs 2500 with 1yr warranty. BSNL charges the same with installation for their UTStar/
Huawei modems. These have only ethernet. No USB. Other features/specs are the same.

So after mar 31, special offer got over, it makes No sense to sign up with BSNL and pay for data transfer. Similarly continuing with BSNL after June 30 when their unlimited plan ends is also a waste. BSNL needs to come out with new plans/offers quickly.
