BSNL Broadband Do Yourself Troubleshooting
before actually calling BSNL Tech. 🙂

1. Unplug any Telephone on line. (DSL signal gets stable most of times by doing so)

2. Make sure your line is copper phone line.

3. Check your SNR (8db & higher the better) / Line Attenuation (50db & lower the better) http://192.168.1.1 (user/pass - admin)

4. Check the Splitters & Phone Line Sockets.

5. Still having Problems Buy a Copper Phone Line & use it as separate main line just for DSL.

6. Don't leave any line open. Cello tape it or else it may caught RF signals or oxidation may erode it causing signal to go weak.

7. Use Special Splitter as main splitter that splits Data(DSL) & Voice Signal.

8. If u still got problems Contact BSNL & tell them to increase your DSL Signal.

(To Counter Attenuation yourself, only way you have to cut the phone line short, leave no extra line / connect phone line in parallel way not series way)

(Low SNR is the main reason Internet usually goes down.)
