right now im using bridge mode and the problem is it gets disconnected often.. can u guys tell me how to configure pppoe mode? im using ut300ru type modem..
your problem appears to be due to a leak through your cable / port allocation at the BSNL server ...
any way see these guides for configuring in PPPoE mode : type 1 & type 2
Open modem settings
You have to access Modem settings by
entering 192.168.1.1 userId admin Password admin
In WAn page select vpi vci link 0 and 35 click edit
Next
Uncheck " Bridged"
Select PPp /PPPoE
New page enter your user Id PW
etc SAVE and reboot.
