BSNL Broadband: Average speed of 240 kBps during NU

5066454 KB == 4947.70 MB == 4.83 GB of download in 5hrs 51min !!!

thats an average of 240.68 kBps !!!

and total download + upload in those 5hrs 51min:

5620724 KB == 5489 MB == 5.36GB :iomg:

thats an average of 267 kBps of bandwidth !!!

BSNL rocks when it works smoothly [read 'without disconnection'] :urock:

btw, I was downloading a torrent using a private tracker which had no leechers...so most of it is download, and a little upload.

sorry guys, I was a little over-excited about it...but when I checked this thread I understood that its quite normal speed for many people. Its just that, my BSNL BB works without disconnection rarely, so never had the chance to experience this kind of consistent speed.
 
wow....thats great,but i download nearly 1.5 or 2gb daily in nu time.....:inodding::inodding:

but there were some crazy periods..with [download + upload] upto 145Gb in a month

Well I guess I have downloaded a max of around 2 Gb during the NU hrs. That was around 6 months back when I was on Home 500 and now I am on UL 256 k and speeds atm kinda sucks...!! Well even I had rare disconnections during NU, though I am facing a bit of disc from the past 2 days...!

BSNL dataone 8mbps connection is in testing phase. Users who get a new dataone connection get a line of 8190 down / 871 up. Though the speeds hovers around 310Kb/s. I think all Home plans will be updated to "upto 8mbps" around diwali or december season.

It was what the external divisional engineer of my exchange told me. He wasn't sure when it was going to happen officially but his estimate was around this year end so most prob diwali.

I am using BSNL BB for almost 2 years now...so I am not new user, but still I connect sometimes with 8000+ D/ 800+ U...but still the DL speed does not cross 250 kBps mark.
But one thing is good with my particular connection [or in my area maybe] that I always get upload speed in the range of 60-80 kBps [50+ always] on torrents :thumbsup:
