The users of the BSNL Broadband might have something to cheer about as the company is reportedly testing technologies provided by Cambridge Broadband. They are currently deploying Cambridge Broadband’s VectaStar equipment and a multi-frequency, multi-sector, VectaStar base station.
A couple of CPEs are being installed in the demanding market in Gurgaon city and VectaStar is being used for both access and transmission. The network combines IP-based access services with the backhaul of traffic from GSM, 3G, Wi-Fi and WiMax base stations. The company is testing out various other technologies to find a perfect balance to cover the entire country.
