Bsnl Broadband 256 Kbps Home 900 Plan

Im using BSNL broadband 256 kpbs 900 home plan(Unlimited).Im getting maximum of only upto 30 kbps for file downloads.Is this the correct speed im gettingOr is it slower than what I should get..Please help me

^ is it 30 kbps (kilo bits per sec) or 30 KBPS (Kilo Bytes per sec) ?30 KBPS download speed is the normal speed .256 kbps = 32KBPS .

Sorry ,Its 32 Kilo bytes per second .. Is that normal ::

Normal. 32 KBytes/s * 8 = 256 KBits/s
