BSNL BB rocks now...No disc even in a HUGE http download..!

Hi guys,

Just wanted to enlighten you guys that BSNL Broadband has improved a lot from what it was previously. The other day I was downloading a movie file worth 265 MB from a hosting website and to my shock...the entire file downloaded nicely and there was no disconnections. 😀 Disconnections are frequent in Unlimited connections, but look here, an entire file which was a direct http download worked just fine. I was fearing every moment that I am gonna loose the connection but it worked great. So kudos to BSNL and keep it up..!! :clap:

Well Thats an improvement but, it needs to compete with private companies. I have airtel I have downloaded file which have been as big as 11 gbs and more... Never had a disconnecton. but well Yes Kudos to BSNL.:urock:

11 GBs...Wow thats wicked man...!! But was that a direct http download ? If it was one, then I must say that Airtel rocks too...!

Exactly, I remember that last it happened to me when I had Dial up connection(ON BSNL) lol

http as well as p2p it doesnt matter on DSL there are suppose to be no disconnections. there must be something wrong with your line.
I think the largest file on http I have downloaded was a UbuntuUltimateGamersEdition- which was I think~5Gbs.
I download Apple firmware which are ~500mb every few months when they update, they are only http/ so I have never had a disconnection. + my DSL wifi is hooked up to my UPS so no disconnections when power goes out either.

You dont know this ? 😕 Anyways...Generally BSNL is famous for disconnections which means that the internet disconnects after may be 1 or 2 hours of usage and direct http downloads of files more than 100 MB is a real pain in the ass since if you loose the connection, you will have to start your download all over again. But luckily, disconnections in BSNL have considerable reduced and the just yesterday I guess I was connected for 10 hrs at a stretch without a disconenction.

Ah...I am not talking about P2P buddy and there is nothing wrong with my line since I have rarely faced disconnections. I just mentioned it coz majority of the users complain about frequent disconnections.

And talking about P2P.....I have downloaded around 25 GB through that...!! I was talking talking of only direct http downloads...!
 

Yup...Thats right. Thats why I love BSNL. Oh....By the way..BSNL Broadband only...! 😀
 
BSNL is always good as long as you need not talk to their customer care. I have some modem errors and I gave up after repeated requests.
 
What that that means ??????????So ... u got a file 256 MB with out interuption ???I am getting 3-4 gb of file with out intruption ... hahahhahah Think that .. does thing need a separate topic wasting time ????? :iplay:
 
WHAT? Isn't this how it is supposed to be? I downloaded Windows 7 from the MS site, non stop. That's much bigger than 256 MB for sure!
 
One more snapshot here. All files were almost equal to around 100 MB. But got them without any disconnections. And they all happened in a single connection (session) one after the other.



For all those people who feel that I am wasting my time here by opening a new topic, well I just wanted to share that BSNL has improved from what it was. And if you guys find that wierd, then better stay away from my posts. Simple !

what make u think 100mb was a big file. . . .. . . .

BSNL was never the problem but the usage of the problem with u ...

It might previously think that u have not used the BSNL effectively ..........

Now the performance was improved because the u have using it effectively. . .. . . :isorry:


See my previous posts i have posted some 24 hours non-stop ip address untill IP address was reset by BSNL servers ......
