Broadband Problem...help needed

hi there....i need some help people.i just got a BSNL home ul900 connection this. it was running fine when around 5 days ago i began experiencing frequent disconnects. sometimes i get disconnected in 1 hour and sometimes i stay connection for 3 hours.when i get disconnected and try to reconnect i get error 678:remote computer does not respond.but if i switch off my comp and router(SMC 7901BRA Barricade) and then restart i get connected immediately!!!i really cant figure out what the problem is so pls help me out......thanks
