Just connect the LAN cable to the PC and boot up up.If u are using the connection on a single PC, rt. click on my network places > properties > create a new connection > next > next > manually > next > b.band conn. req user, pass > next and go on.place a shortcut on desktop. You're done ! Reboot pc and modem. If using in multiuser env., u have to configure in management interface 192.168.1.1 and enter required details, save settings and reboot ur pc and modem. I hope this helps. And for the slow explorer, set security & cookies to default in options, connection should not be set to proxy. Defrag your drive and check for spywares and worms.

BSNL supplied me a UT Starcom UT-300R2 modem and a CD containing PPPoE software. I installed the software and the modem was ready for data transfer.Best,:: Sanjoy Bandopadhyay

please do not use BSNL supplied PPPoE s/w as it is buggy and responsible for frequent disconnects and IP lease problems. It is always better to use winxp created dialler in a single pc, or use the modem interface in case of multiuser environmant. People just use the BSNL PPPoE s/w, get bad performance and thrash BSNL for pathetic performance. Wake up guys !!
