BSNL Data One
Hello!Im a new member here on this lovely and friendly forum 🙂I have got BSNL Data One broadband in my home currently on the home 250 plan (1GB/mth), but in a couple of days it should be upgraded to UL 750 Plus which is unlimited.I have got a Belkin modem router (F5D7632-4) which I bought from the UK, but I am sure it will work here too. I have browsed through many threads to get the wifi settings to input in the router and have tried many different ones, but so far no luck. So I would really appreciate it if someone could please tell me the appropriate setting for this eg. is the PPPoA or PPPoE or IPoA or static or dynamic etc and all the relevant DNS IP address please! Thanks so much 😀

Thanks for the reply! I tried the search thing, and the links and settings that I got were exactly the ones that I had tried and tested before posting here and they didnt work unfortunately 🙁
So just wanted to know if theres any other way around it??

Thanks once again

Start run cmd type ipconfig /allpost data.2. Whenin Start /Network/ Local area connectionif you try repair what is the error message ?3. Are you trying to connect in (a) dialer "bridged" wanminiport or (b) "Always ON" ppp/PPPoE connection ?4.Settings VPI/VCI 0 and 35 UserID In modem without @bsnl.in ( if used )PPPoE if selected or "Bridged "If possible post screen shot of connection status..

Hello

The cmd thing that you told me to type didnt give any results. Just to confirm, I typed "ipconfig\all post data" (with the spaces) is this right??

One of the previous settings I tried earlier on was this thread - https://broadband.forum/bsnl-broadband/20795-need-help-connecting-bsnl-modem-belkin-router/2/

"I have a Belkin ADSL modem with Wireless G-Router model F5D7632-4

In the setup connection choose PPoe

IP add 192.168.2.100
Subnet mask 255.255.255.0
Default gateway 192.168.2.1
VPI / VLC 0/35"

But this person says to use PPPoE, and as far as I know, im not using an ethernet cable anywhere. this belkin is a MODEM ROUTER, so it has inbuilt modem and is just one device, NOT 2 separate ones. and this is connected to my laptop via a USB network adapter (my laptop doesnt have inbuilt wifi)

I am posting a screen shot of the 'main status page' of belkin. it says "internet status: connected" however when I go to any websites it never loads and nothing is opening at all. also, the DNS address is all 0's?? (i've set it to get automatically from ISP)

http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/WiFi.jpg

also, when i choose my connection type as PPPoE or PPPoA, the internet status always remains as Not connected, hence ive chosen "Dynamic/Fixed IP (1483 Bridged)" which at least SHOWS it as connected! btw, the other 2 "connection types" are STATIC IP - IPoA and MODEM ONLY - DISABLE INTERNET SHARING.

If you require any other screen shots then please let me know.
oh and one more thing, at present ive entered the above details (IP, subnet mask etc).

THANKS!

Start run cmd type ipconfig /all

Para two:
This article assumes that you have a dynamic internet connection.

First make sure that you have a valid connection to the router and that you have a valid IP address.

We recommend you use a computer that has a wired connection to the router.
With a wired connection you should have a link light on the numbered port of the router to which your computer is connected.
Second, you should have an IP address in the range 192.168.2.x.
To check your IP address,
click on Start, Run and type in \"command\".
Click OK. Now type in \"ipconfig\" and hit enter.
Your IP address will be listed.)

1. Unplug the power cable from the modem.
2. Open a Web Browser

Regarding plan, from today I have got the home UL 750 Plus plan.

"DO YOU HAVE A telephone line based Broadband?" I think the answer top that would be YES. In my Belkin modem router, there are only 2 wires going in. 1. Power wire. 2. An RJ-11 wire which is coming from a phone line in the wall, pretty standard right? I dont have any RJ-45 wires (aka ethernet cables), only the 2 mentioned.

Regarding the USB Network adapter - it is a Belkin F5D7050 (http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/31C49ATBX5L.jpg). This plugs in my laptop (and also desktop) and allows me to use wifi since neither of my laptop and desktop have internal wifi support.

Also, the phone line that I am using does not have a phone connected to it, ie. its a different room, so I have not used a splitter as i didnt feel the need to do so, and is it is anyway, my wired modem works fine from the same phone line which i keep on swapping into belkin to make it work!!

Any other screenshots/photos/data required then please let me know!

Thanks 😀

I dont mind using any mode as long as it works! But the problem is that I dont know how to make themn work, and am not that technical of a person so I dont know what bridged etc mean lol!?

your ipconfig output shows that you are getting an ip 59.94.x.x via bridged mode.. which means you are using a dialer.. You still cannot access the interneT?? try opening 74.125.45.100 in the browser

Hi superprashsorry if i confused you a bit, the second ipconfig data given is of my usual standard wired miodem that i am using at present. and hence as that works the ip address is shown as 59.94.x.x BUT the first ipconfig data is of my wireless which is not working and that does not show the ip address in that format.

you have set your ADSL connection type to STATIC with an ip of 192.168.2.100 .. thats not how it should be.. set it to DYNAMIC..if possible post a screenshot of the page where you insert the bsnl username/password

Right now I havce factory resetted my modem router and i am starting from scratch taking screenshots of every step for u to have a look and see where I might be going wrong.

Welcome starting screen: http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/1stscreen.jpg

Country and ISP (this was bought from UK hence that is shown first, but I select "other"): http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/2ndscreen.jpg

http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/3rd.jpg

I select "other ISP" and then get asked what connection type. I choose dynamic (?): http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/3rd.jpg

Please notice that when i choose dynamic, the option to enter username and password are not available anymore.. strange!: http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/5.jpg

http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/6.jpg

Summary screen: http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/7.jpg

Saving the settings, during which the modem router restarts: http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/8.jpg

Home screen - internet status shows no connection (in red upper right hand): http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/9.jpg

I try and open Google with the code that Superprash given me (i also spell it out to confirm) and it does not open: http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/10.jpg

So to change these settings, I go on connection type and the available options listed are same as before. I choose PPPoA: http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/11.jpg

With this connection type I at lease get the option to enter my username and password: http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/12.jpg

I apply these and save once again, it restarts: http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/13.jpg

But still no luck, neither does google etc open: http://i169.photobucket.com/albums/u210/ketan30/14.jpg

What should I do??!
