I do not think I have anyone from my native city in my profile and lesser people from India too in
Google+. But will surely check. Yes, there might be a lot of spammers from Guwahati (there are for sure from Delhi too which is my second city
). The reason I am saying is because the dynamic IPs I have been receiving from BSNL here in Guwahati seems to be listed in loads of blacklists all over the world including Drupal blacklist, Rediff blacklist,
Cloudflare blacklist etc. And this has happened many times and not only once and so, many IPs or maybe most IPs from BSNL Guwahati must be in their blacklists. This has always been a bit surprising for me as the number of internet users in Guwahati would probably not be that high compared to metros etc. and so, the density of spammers might be more here. On a second thought, good pointer and a good reason to the question which I have been thinking for years as to why so many IPs from Guwahati are blacklisted in many websites. I personally have never done any online
business in Guwahati and so, do not know the online situation here. So, maybe there are a lot of webmasters too through probably mostly spammers than actual webmasters. Interesting. Maybe there is an internet market in Guwahati which can be used up a few years down the line. However, I have a few websites for some of our offline family businesses etc. and all are ranking at top of Google as always but they do not get that many responses or contacts. So, not sure if the market is inside Guwahati or are they only outsourcing. Anyways interesting point and would need to research starting from Google+ itself. As a whole, I really hope that these n00bs take some proper jobs or build proper websites instead of trying shortcut of spamming and thereby deteriorating the names of genuine Indian web users and webmasters.
