Djokovic survives initial scare from Monfils and wins in 4 sets after losing 1st set.

Goffin UPSET in 4 sets by Benneteau

Del Potro wins in 4 sets after 3rd set hiccup.

Berdych too wins in 4 sets

Wawrinka KNOCKED OUT 6-2, 6-1, 6-4 by unknown player Sandgren

Sandgren turned pro in 2011 but before this Australian open he had played only 8 matches whole career (won only 2)

He had played just 2 grandslam matches whole career before. (both lost in 1st round)

So he being able to beat Wawrinka appears to be some fitness problem with Wawrinka.

OR may be Sandgren suddenly is having form of life time.

Update: as per news - Wawrinka was having some issue. But not clear what it was.. mostly his knee.

Gasquet wins in 3 sets.

Federer wins in 3 too -- but as always he doesnt put much effort in early rounds.

He played at about 60% of his average level.

Federer now has 2 easy rounds (on paper / based on past records)

Next is Gasquet who has beaten him just once since his first win 2005 (16-2 head to head) and last win in 2011.

And after that he plays one of the two unseeded / unknown players. (Fucsovics OR Kicker)

Dimitrov, Carreno Busto win in 4 sets.

Edmund wins in 5 sets.

Schwartzman beats Dolgopolov in 4 sets

Nadal beats Dzumher way too easily.

Clearly he is just enjoying the easiest draw.

Its just like no contest in boxing.

Kyrgios beats Tsonga in 4 sets.

Seppi beats Karlovic in 5 sets which had 3 tie breaks!

Cilic beats Harrison in 3 sets

Didnt get time to post today's schedule today

Today's Key Matches:

Nadal v/s Schwartzman
Dimitrov v/s Kyrgios (Federer like talent against Fireworks)
Cilic v/s Carreno Busta
Edmund v/s Seppi

Another easy match for Nadal because opponent is short man and will not be able to handle Nadal's bouncing topspin
