I just wanted to ask whether a modem which supports ADSL2/2+ (G.DMT.bis/G.DMT.bisplus) modulation better than a modem which only supports ADSL1 (G.DMT) modulation on MTNL's line?I had read somewhere that ADSL2+ modems can establish a connection even when the line is noisy. Is ADSL2/2+ better off than ADSL1 when it comes to the question of frequent disconnections?

GDMT better for a stable connection.( check bitswap also enabled)

Para two : select each modulation mode and check speed here.
Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test
Para three :
you should benefit from increased Internet performance if you:

1. Live within two kilometres of a ADSL2+ enabled exchange
2. Use an ADSL2+ enabled modem
3. Are using an ADSL2+ capable plan which means the plan's download and upload speeds are optimised for this technology.

My Exchange in BKP. and its just like next door. And I have 2MBps NU and 256UL butt DGMT gives same speed as ADSL2+ but better stability.
