Hi guys,I am from mumbai, previously i was on 590NU but now switched on to 849NU plan. At the same time i started using the bridge mode as described on this forum. My question is does MTNL charges for call duration (the whole time we are connected to net) as we have to dial the connection in bridge mode? Thanx in advancerex

NO. You can be connected to Broadband CONNECTION 24/7 for the scheme you have selected. In Bridge mode you don't dial a number like in dialup connection.

bridge mode = ur computer passes ur username and passwd to MTNL serverpppoe mode = ur router passes ur username and passwd to MTNL serverotherwise there is not major difference.so no, tel is not charged

In ADSL connections particularly BSNL and MTNL u dont get charged for the duration of connectivity, but only for the data transfer. So dont worry, u wont be charged.
