Coimbatore, May 21 Arasu Cable TV Corporation Ltd, a Government of Tamil Nadu undertaking, has set the ball rolling for the distribution of cable TV signals in the State by calling for expression of interest (EoI) from those in the TV signals distribution business.
The corporation has set a deadline of May 31 for the interested persons to apply.
The corporation has sought EoI from cable operators/link operators/MSOs in Tamil Nadu for taking TV signals from the Digital Head Ends (DHE) being established in different cities in the State by it.

சென்னை: ஜூலை 15ம் தேதி அரசுகேபிள் டிவி தொடங்கப்படுகிறது. அதன் பின்னர் படிப்படியாக தமிழகம் முழுவதும் இதை விரிவுபடுத்தத் தேவையான பணிகளை விரைந்து மேற்கொள்ளுமாறு முதல்வர் கருணாநிதி உத்தரவிட்டுள்ளார்.

இதுதொடர்பாக தமிழக அரசு வெளியிட்டுள்ள செய்திக்குறிப்பு:

அரசு கேபிள் டிவ நிறுவனத்தின் செயல்பாடு குறித்து முதல்வர் கருணாநிதி, நேற்று உயர் அதிகாரிகளுடன் தலைமைச் செயலகத்தில் விரிவான ஆலோசனை நடத்தினார். அக்கூட்டத்தில் அரசு கேபிள் டிவி நிறுவனம் தஞ்சாவூர், கோவை, வேலூர் மற்றும் நெல்லையில் டிஜிட்டல் ஹெட் என்ட் கட்டுமான வசதிகள், அமைக்கும் பணியில் ஈடுபட்டு வருவதாகவும், ஜூலை 15 முதல் தஞ்சாவூரில் கட்டுமானப் பணிகள் முடிவடைந்து, லோக்கல் கேபிள் டிவி ஆபரேட்டர்கள், சப் எம்.எஸ்.ஓக்களுக்கு கேபிள் டிவி இணைப்புகள் வழங்க அனைத்து ஏற்பாடுகளையும் செய்து வருவதாகவும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது.

மூன்று டிஜிட்டல் ஹெட் என்டுகளுக்கான இயந்திரங்கள் மற்றும் உபகரணங்கள் பிரான்ஸ் நாட்டிலிருந்து நேற்று இரவு சென்னை வந்து அடைந்துள்ளது என்றும், இரு நாட்களில் இவை தஞ்சாவூர், கோவை, வேலூரை சென்றடையும் என்றும் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது.

இதேபோல அரசு கேபிள் டிவி நிறுவனத்திடமிருந்து சேவைகளைப் பெற விரும்பும் லோக்கல் கேபிள் டிவி ஆபரேட்டர்கள் மற்றும் சப் எம்.எஸ்.ஓ.க்களுக்கு ஜூன் 9ம் தேதி வரை விண்ணப்பிக்கலாம் என்று இந்த நிறுவனம் விளம்பரம் செய்திருந்தது.

இந்த விளம்பரத்தின் அடிப்படையில், தமிழ்நாடு முழுவதிலுமிருந்து சுமார் 10 ஆயிரத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட விண்ணப்பங்கள் பெறப்பட்டுள்ளன. இவ்விண்ணப்பங்கள் பரிசீலனையில் உள்ளன.

இதேபோல தொலைக்காட்சியாளர்களிடம் இந்த நிறுவனம் பேச்சுவார்த்தைகளில் ஈடுபட்டுள்ளது. தொலைக்காட்சியாளர்களுக்கு செலுத்த வேண்டிய கட்டணத்தைப் பற்றியும், லோக்கல் கேபிள் டிவி ஆபரேட்டர்கள், சப் எம்.எஸ்.ஓக்களிடமிருந்து வசூல்செய்யப்பட வேண்டிய கட்டணத்தைப் பற்றியும் விரைவில் அறிவிக்கப்படும் எனத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது.

பணிகளை விரைவில் முடித்து தஞ்சாவூரில் சேவைகளை ஜூலை15 முதல், படிப்படியாக கோவை, வேலூர் மற்றும் நெல்லையில் ஆகஸ்ட் 15ம் தேதி முதல், சென்னை மாநகரத்தில் செப்டம்பர் 15ம் தேதி முதல் தொடங்குவதற்கு ஏற்ற வகையில், பணிகளை விரைவுபடுத்துமாறு முதல்வர் கருணாநிதி அறிவுரைகள் வழங்கியுள்ளதாக தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது.

CHENNAI: As many as 10,000 sub Multi System Operators (MSOs) and Local Cable TV Operators (LCOs) have submitted applications to avail themselves of the services of the Arasu Cable TV Corporation across the State except in Chennai.
A release said Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi, who held discussions with the officials about the launch of the Arasu Cable TV, had advised them to speed up works to launch operations in Thanjavur on July 15. It will be launched in Coimbatore, Vellore and Tirunelveli on August 15 and in Chennai on September 15.Arasu Cable TV has already started installing Digital Head End in Thanjavur, Vellore and Tirunelveli.

Already the STBs are given for free by both SCV and Hathway and i think Arasu Cable will also do the same........Above all let them first start in chennai and let our cable operators move to them.......for that we need to wait atleast till the last week of August or 1st week of september......................
