Apple today launched the latest iMac series in the market. And the new iMac are a shocker too. Being touted as computers made by the makers of iPod, the new iMac is looks totally unlike the earlier versions. In fact, it does not have a visible CPU! Everything has been integrated in a admittedly weird looking 2″ thick LCD screen which apple claims to be the ‘worlds thinnest desktop computer’. Seriously thinking the first iMac showed the world they could make a computer the size of a CRT monitor… Today they made iMac the size of a Laptop!

And it is extremely good looking!

wow... it seems to be a beauty.... one thing i wanted to know... how good is the software availability for it?.. cause iv been only on win so far n we get all the software made for it... will switching to a mac decrease versatility?... another thing with apple is that its damn expensive maintenance wise.... the iPod battery costs 3k.... so its def a hole in the pocket... no wonder its a status symbol

Mac has far less software than the Windows platform, and most of it is aimed at enthusiasts. Also, the cost of upgrading a Mac is higher. This time, Apple features socketed processors with the new iMac, so the should be upgradeable.
