Hi,

I recently had low speed issues after I had signed up for IPTV. Now a dramatic turn — I changed to Multi-Mode and now getting 2.6mbps in speedtest.net (3+) tests at multiple locations.

Is this for real? I mean, (a) Is it a temporary glitch? or maybe (b) Its something else which I'm interpreting incorrectly?

UPDATE:

Okay, still strange - I'm getting anything between 300-600 while checking at other speed testers like DslReports or SpeakEasy. However, speedtest.net shows 2-2.6 consistently at any location.

Is speedtest displaying incorrect speed rate lately?

2071kbps for Singapore. Although I'm getting 2mbps+ at speedtest, other testers show it anywhere between 300-1.4kbps, whys that? Either of those have to be incorrect, right? Speedtest and Intel checker are the only ones show 2mbps+ speeds, other show similar, so I'm doubtful.

2071 is fine for a 2mbps connection. What speed do you experience in live downloads??Try downloading a small 3-4 MB file and observe the speed...

Okay, the dream is over. :)

Its back to 700-1.x mbps (1.9max at singapore) now. Maybe it was a temporary glitch at speedtest or MTNL that fulfilled my dream for a few moments and showed just what I wanted to see. LoL ;-)

Update:

Okay, 2.6 again, not sure whats happening.
