Anyone else get a call from Reliance Broadband thanking you for bill payment?

I just got one from 022-30333232 which is indeed a Reliance number as per TrueCaller. Strange call.
Guy confirms my user id. And then tells me that my bill was generated for Rs. x on June y. And you made a payment on June z. Thank you for timely payment or something like that.
 
Maybe they know that you own the most popular site of broadband forums in India and they are being extra nice to you.😀
 
I don't have reliance so can't comment on that with certainty but in my opinion it was just a follow up call to actually thank you for payment on time. I don't think it was a phishing call because the guy didn't take any information from you or did he?
 
he had all the info. but it's still redundant and annoying. i mean it took his time. it took my time. and it accomplished nothing.
 
I agree they should use this time and manpower to do something more constructive like maybe bring reliance wireline broadband to Faridabad and other places where they can get a good customer base.
 

Maybe they wanted to thank you to make you feel good for making the payment .. And also next time you make the payment on time 😉
